Energy Transition Norway, represented by its CEO, is the data controller responsible for the personal data collected and processed by Energy Transition Norway.
The purpose of processing personal data is to enable us to provide our core services, which include operating a business cluster, planning and organising events, seminars, conferences, professional forums and workshops, as well as developing and managing joint projects.
This also includes distributing invitations, information and marketing materials relating to our events and activities.
We only process personal data that is necessary for communicating with our participants and other stakeholders.
We may request personal data in the following situations:
To provide you with our newsletter and other relevant information, we register your first name, last name, email address and place of work.
For contact persons at our member organisations, we may also register a telephone number, the billing address of the organisation you represent and its organisation number.
Your email address may be used to distribute newsletters and other relevant information from Energy Transition Norway.
It is not possible to be a member of Energy Transition Norway or participate in our activities and projects without providing a minimum amount of personal data.
When participating in conferences, certain personal data may be required for invoicing and related follow-up. This includes non-sensitive personal data such as your full name, telephone number, email address, company name and company information.
A significant amount of our information regarding cluster events, projects and meeting invitations is distributed by email. In order for us to provide the services requested by our members, we therefore require, at a minimum, the name and email address of at least one contact person in each member company or organisation.
With your consent, our contact lists may be used in the Mailchimp newsletter service. This enables us to distribute relevant information to Energy Transition Norway members and other stakeholders who have subscribed to our newsletter.
Information about member companies and their contact persons may be shared with Innovation Norway for statistical and survey purposes.
The same information may, upon request, be shared with recognised research institutions for research purposes, as well as with analytics companies working on behalf of Energy Transition Norway.
If a cluster activity, such as a conference, event, workshop or course, is organised in cooperation with an external partner, relevant personal data may be shared with that partner.
Apart from the purposes described above, our contact lists, in whole or in part, will not be shared with third parties.
When registering for our events, information such as your name, company and email address may be included in participant lists made available to other participants.
If you do not wish to be included in such lists, please contact our Members and Events Manager Hege Anglevik and request to be excluded.
If you no longer wish to receive emails from Energy Transition Norway, you can unsubscribe from our mailing list using the unsubscribe option included in every email we send.
If you do not want your personal data to be shared with third parties such as Mailchimp, please contact us directly using the contact information below.
If you are registered for an upcoming Energy Transition Norway event and wish to have your personal data deleted, certain information may need to be retained until any outstanding invoice has been paid.
We may also be required to retain certain personal data in order to comply with applicable accounting and bookkeeping legislation.
Your personal data is stored in our membership register, in the Mailchimp newsletter platform and through our website, www.energytransitionnorway.no, which is provided through Webflow. We use systems and service providers subject to appropriate data processing agreements.
If you withdraw your consent, our processing of your personal data based on that consent will cease, and the relevant data will be deleted from our systems within one month, unless we have another legal basis or legal obligation to retain it.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before it was withdrawn.
Your personal data will also be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for example if our newsletter service is discontinued.
Your personal data is processed in accordance with applicable Norwegian and EU data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Where our processing is based on consent, consent is provided when you register to receive our newsletter and/or when your company or organisation joins the cluster.
You have the right, subject to applicable law, to request access to your personal data, request correction or deletion of your data, request restriction of processing, and request the transfer of your personal data.
Where processing is based on consent, you may also withdraw your consent at any time by contacting Hege Anglevik.
If you believe that we have breached applicable data protection legislation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
