The Norwegian-German Chamber of Commerce invites you to join the upcoming conference, Offshore Wind: Pioneering Sustainable Solutions in Norway and Germany, on Tuesday, 5 November 2024.

This event will delve into the latest advancements and strategies in offshore wind development, with a special focus on fostering synergies between Norway and Germany. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions, presentations, and networking sessions, exploring cutting-edge technology solutions and the shared ambitions of both nations in the offshore wind sector.

Confirmed Speakers Include:

Tor Arne Johnsen, EU advisor in Norwegian Offshore Wind Cluster, will share his extensive knowledge about European markets when he explores Norway's current position in its offshore wind journey, outlining needs and future developments in the field.

Manuel Battaglia, energy policy manager in the German Federal Association Wind Energy Offshore (BWO), will use his unique insights into German energy markets to discuss recent energy policy developments in Germany, focusing on the legal frameworks and challenges related to offshore activities, as well as collaboration in the North Sea.  

Rune Klausen, CEO of Nasjonalt kompetansesenter for havvind, will draw upon years of working in businesses and organizations related to offshore wind when he reflects on the demand for competence in Norway’s Offshore Wind Sector, highlighting the results of a brand new report on the future needs for expertise in the industry.

Arill Hagland, Power Solutions Product Champion at OneSubsea, will present a best-practice example of German-Norwegian cooperation in offshore wind that led to the development of an innovative underwater substation solution.
