Acorn is an ambitious programme designed to tackle climate change by dealing with industrial CO2 emissions and other ‘hard to decarbonise’ sectors. By making use of oil and gas pipelines that are already in place, offshore geology that is ideal for permanently storing carbon dioxide (CO2), and a region that is embracing hydrogen as a fuel of the future, this project is a really important catalyst for the next phase of the UK’s journey to Net Zero.
The Acorn Development Partners invite contractors to a pre-FEED engagement event, taking place in Aberdeen on Wednesday, November 22.
Senior representatives of Storegga as Lead Developer, and Shell as Technical Developer, will present on the FEED opportunities available to contractors as preparations for Acorn continue, under the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s Track 2 #CCUS process.
During the event, presentations will be made on work scopes which are expected to open to tender in the future, along with details of an upcoming prequalification exercise.
Registration for the event closes on Wednesday, November 15.
Completing the form through the sign up page to register your organisation’s interest in FEED opportunities.
